The fourth stop of the WSL Championship Tour is already taking center stage in Raglan, where the Corona Cero New Zealand Pro will take place from May 15 to 25.

After the first three events of the circuit, Brazilians Gabriel Medina and Luana Silva arrive as the world ranking leaders, marking a historic moment for Brazilian surfing by simultaneously leading both the men’s and women’s divisions of the tour.

In this context, Luana Silva is starring in one of the biggest milestones of the season, as she will become the first Brazilian woman in history to wear the Championship Tour yellow jersey, a distinction reserved exclusively for the world number one surfer.

The young surfer has enjoyed a spectacular start to the season, reaching three consecutive finals and establishing herself as one of the circuit’s leading figures. Along the way, she defeated legendary names in women’s surfing such as eight-time world champion Stephanie Gilmore, two-time world champion Tyler Wright, and current world champion Molly Picklum.
