Viviana Araya Reaffirms Her Growth with Another Podium Finish at Latin Girl Arica 2026

Latin Girl Arica 2026 once again brought together some of the top names in women’s surfing and bodyboarding at the wave known as “La Isla” (formerly Isla Alacrán), in a female surf carnival that continues to establish itself as one of the major events on the ALAS Global Tour calendar. In that setting, the Queen of the Wave, Viviana Araya, claimed second place in the bodyboard category, reaffirming her grit and the competitive growth she has been showing in the water.

Beyond the podium, what truly stood out was the evolution she has displayed in recent times. Vivi knows her competitive journey is more recent than that of other rivals on the circuit, but she is also clear that her progress has been steady. Her grit, focus, charisma, and power in the water speak for themselves and are part of what sets her apart in every competition.

Throughout the event, she remained focused and determined, delivering powerful rolls that reflect the fearless athlete that has become her trademark. That fighting spirit is part of what led her to become the current national bodyboard champion and to continue climbing with each event.

Born in Iquique, grounded and always carrying a bright energy both in and out of the water, Viviana not only competes, she learns. And in every competition, she shows that her journey is still on the rise.
