Following the season opener at Bells Beach, the Championship Tour 2026 continues its Australian leg with the Western Australia Margaret River Pro 2026, scheduled to take place from April 16 to 26.

Margaret River, known for its large and consistent waves, has been part of the world tour since 1985. The coastline features more than 75 breaks and is considered one of the most demanding surf destinations in the world, making this stop a key test for title contenders.

The competition will be held at Surfers Point, with action primarily at Main Break and The Box, two breaks known for their powerful and unpredictable conditions that often create separation among surfers on tour.

The event has hosted memorable performances and has played a key role in determining world titles over the decades. It also follows the opening stop at Bells Beach, where Brazil’s Miguel Pupo and Hawaii’s Gabriela Bryan claimed victory and currently lead the world rankings.

In the 2025 edition of the Margaret River Pro, Gabriela Bryan secured the win after defeating reigning world champion Caitlin Simmers in the final. As a result, her performance at the Rip Curl Pro Bells Beach 2026 has generated high expectations.

With the rankings just getting underway and valuable points on the line, the Western Australia Margaret River Pro promises to be a decisive stop early in the 2026 Championship Tour, where the world’s best surfers will look to solidify their position in the championship.
