The Bulto Sisters Dominate the “Coquimbo Cup” 2025: Gold and Silver in Every Category

Isidora and Matilda Bulto, the rising surf talents from Iquique, conquer Totoralillo during the 10th edition of the Maestros Championship in La Serena, Chile

From October 9 to 12, the waves of Totoralillo witnessed a historic performance during the 10th edition of the Maestros Coquimbo Cup 2025, where sisters Isidora and Matilda Bulto left their mark by sweeping every category they entered.

Traveling from Iquique to La Serena with their mother and support team, the talented surfers showcased exceptional skill, solidifying their reputation as two of the most promising athletes in Chilean women’s surfing.

In powerful waves and an atmosphere full of energy, the sisters delivered a flawless performance, taking home the top spots across three divisions:

Under 16: Isidora Bulto – Gold / Matilda Bulto – Silver

Under 18: Matilda Bulto – Gold / Isidora Bulto – Silver

Open Women: Isidora Bulto – Gold / Matilda Bulto – Silver

Spectators and judges alike praised their consistency, technique, and natural connection to the ocean. “It was incredible to see them compete against each other with such intensity — and still show such sisterly love,” said one of the event organizers.

At only 16 and 14 years old, Isidora and Matilda have already made a name for themselves in the Chilean and international surf circuits. Their maturity, discipline, and passion continue to impress as they dominate competitions from north to south, always representing their hometown Iquique with pride.

Throughout the event, the sisters shared days of training, laughter, and camaraderie with surfers from all over Chile. Beyond the trophies, both agreed it was a meaningful and unforgettable experience. “Competing together in such a beautiful place like Totoralillo was a dream. We push each other, we support each other and that’s what helps us grow,” said Isidora Bulto, moments after receiving her gold medal.

The Bulto sisters continue to build a promising career that already inspires a new generation of surfers. In 'Queen of the Wave', their journey embodies the essence of the project: young, fearless, and talented women conquering the sea with determination and love for what they do.
