Queen of the Wave Athletes Selected for Chilean National Team Training Camp

Viviana Araya, Isidora Bultó and Matilda Bultó have been officially selected in their respective disciplines for the Chilean National Team training camp, which will take place in July in Arica.
The camp will bring together some of Chile's top surfing and bodyboarding athletes with the goal of selecting the teams that will represent the country in the season's major international competitions. The rosters were determined based on criteria including performances in national and international events, as well as technical evaluations focused on each athlete's potential, competitive consistency, and experience.
For the Open division, the training camp will determine the national team that will compete at the Mar del Plata South American Games, scheduled for September 18–25. The federation will have a total of eight spots available—five men and three women—distributed across the disciplines of Shortboard, Longboard, SUP Surf, SUP Race, and Bodyboard.
Meanwhile, the Junior division will determine the athletes who will represent Chile at the World Junior Surfing Championships, to be held from September 3–13 in Surf City, El Salvador. The Under-18 and Under-16 categories will each award three spots per gender, including both athletes funded by Chile's National Sports Institute (IND) and self-funded competitors.
In this context, Queen of the Wave will have three representatives. Viviana Araya has been selected for the Women's Open Bodyboard category, while in surfing Isidora Bultó has been called up for the Open and Under-18 divisions, and Matilda Bultó will compete in the Under-18 and Under-16 categories.
It is worth noting that all three athletes represented the Chilean National Team during the 2025 season. This new selection gives them the opportunity to secure their place once again and continue representing Chile in upcoming international competitions.
