At the Reñaca Surf Pro, Paloma Freyggang secured second place in the Master Women’s category in a performance marked by a very special context. Six months pregnant, the athlete returned to competition and stepped onto the podium once again, reaffirming her bond with the ocean and with the sport.

With more than 25 years on a board, Paloma is recognized as one of the most influential figures in Chilean women’s bodyboarding. A pioneer in taking on heavy waves and developing a strong, determined style in the water, her career has been defined by competitive achievements and by a way of living the sport that opened the path for many others.
In this edition, she chose to compete on a longboard in the Master Women’s category, reaching the podium and proving that her connection to the ocean goes beyond disciplines.
Her presence in Reñaca stood out not only for the result, but also for the weight of her experience within the circuit, bringing depth and character to a lineup where different generations of Chilean surf and bodyboarding come together.
