VALENTINA ROZENTAL
Director & Creator of "Queen of the Wave"
Filmmaker. Storyteller. Dreamer of waves.
Valentina Rozental was born in Iquique, Chile, a land of sea and desert. From a very young age, she felt the call of the ocean and the stories that live in its silences. Today she lives in Miami, but her spirit is nomadic: she has traveled the world with camera in hand, following waves, voices, and destinations that transformed her forever.
Eight years ago, she began her career as a filmmaker, traveling to Peru, Costa Rica, Brazil, Panama, Nicaragua, Mexico, California, Spain, Italy, Greece, France, and Dubai. In each place, she encountered not only landscapes, but real people with deeply human and poetic stories. These experiences forged her cinematic vision: a blend of a traveler's soul, an intimate gaze, and a spiritual connection with her surroundings.
Valentina studied film at the New York Film Academy, where she wrote and directed her first short film:
“Destination Hawaii,” a film that received international acclaim with awards such as:
• Best Director
• Best Inspirational Story
• Best Feature Film
• Best Student Film

Her purpose as a director
Valentina believes in the power of cinema as a channel of truth. Her approach is documentary, emotional, and human. She seeks to tell real stories that inspire, move, and heal. Stories like hers, where the external journey reflects an internal journey of transformation.

Queen of the Wave: her soul project
"Queen of the Wave" is her most intimate and powerful project to date. A documentary series that brings together everything Valentina loves: surfing, spirituality, feminine strength, the freedom of the ocean, and the beauty of reality.
It's more than a project: it's an offering to the sea, to brave women, and to all those who have ever heard a voice inside that told them: “Dare.”
